*After Gaza: A Political Perspective*
Muslim Association of Britain would like to invite you to a lecture by Dr Azzam Tamimi entitle: After Gaza; A Political Perspective. Sunday 1st February 2009 at MWHS, Severn Road S10 2SU, immediately after Maghrib 4.51pm. Dr Azzam is a very well known speaker and writer. He is also the director on the Institute of Islamic Political Thought.

On Thursday 5th February, there will be a stall in the union from 10am-2pm dedicated to Gaza. On the stall there will be information leaflets regarding boycotting Israeli products, the campaign on stopping arms from the UK to Israel. The aim of the stalls is also to educate the students and let the truth be heard about the unjust genocide done the Palestinians. Please try and help by turning up, even if its for half an hour, and help distribute leaflets and help with the cause in general. USIC is working in conjunction with the Union and The Sheffield Students Against the Israeli attacks on Gaza and Palestine society.

* Qur’anic Arabic classes*
A 20-25 week course designed to help one understand the Quran when one reads and hears it.
Pre-requisites: No previous study of the Arabic language is required as long as one can read Arabic. STARTING SUNDAY 8TH FEBRUARY
Time: 7.45pm -9.45pm
Venue: Muslim Welfare House Sheffield.

*Fiqh & Aqeedah classes*
Insha Allah will be starting on Saturday 7th February Insha Allah and will be conducted by Sheikh Qari Ismail. The course will be online as well, so you don’t have to necessarily be in Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about our Deen, & how to perform everyday acts like cleaning oneself or praying Salah. Anyone interested - Email Eymen on mda07ek@sheffield.ac.uk with your details. DEADLINE for registration is end of January and we can’t take on anymore once the course has started, so don’t waste this opportunity Insha Allah and register now. AlMaghrib Institute has teamed up with USIC to bring you a mind-blowing two-part lecture on The Family! We will also be launching an appeal for Gaza on the day.
The 2 sections will cover:
1. Mars Vs Venus: How to improve relationship between spouses
2. Rights of Parents and Rights of Children
The speaker, Shaykh Riad Ouarzazi is an excellent speaker. His videos can be found on YouTube, and he will be delivering the much-anticipated ‘Heart Serene’ Tazkiyah/Purification course in Bradford in April.
